but shouldnt you also be considered about the reinstallation? do yourself a favor and pull the engine for such a job. on the other hand....you could spend a few hundred bucks and get some random techs or something (since you will need them the next time you smog), but instead you are going to spend over $3000 at least (as well as welding heat shields onto beautiful sz testpipes -_-). i do not see any logic in your solution.
